Drop-off and Dismissal

Procedures

1. Doors will open at 3:55pm.  Do not arrive before 3:50pm.  Upon arrival, parents should approach the building via Fourth Street coming from Hilton; not Franklin Ave.  This will ease the backup of cars on Fourth Street.  Drive around the building and stop under the breezeway and follow the instructions of our volunteers who will escort your children from your vehicle.

2. When exiting the parking lot after drop off, make a left out of the lot toward Franklin Ave.  This will ease the congestion on Fourth Street.

3. Do not walk your child through the parking lot upon arrival.  It is unsafe as there are many vehicles in the lot at that time.  We do not have enough volunteers to patrol the whole lot.  For your child’s safety drive around the building.  

4. Please be patient even if the line is long.  I have asked for volunteers to help with the opening of doors from our parents.  Only one person stepped forward to volunteer.  The volunteers we do have are doing the best they can.  Your cooperation will help them do their job.

5. At dismissal time please meet your child at his/her assigned grade-level spot.  Do not wait at the doors and take your child before he/she is at the grade-level spot.  The teachers have to see you pick up your child.

6. Our parking lot is an active lot.  Hold your child’s hand and do not let him/her run ahead of you.  It is dangerous and unsafe as many vehicles are present at dismissal.

All of these procedures were implemented for the safety of the children attending Religious Ed classes.  For that reason, please carefully follow the procedures stated above.
